Have you ever looked in your closet for something to wear and, even though the closet is full, found yourself saying, “I have nothing to wear!”? That has pretty much been the story of my life. Sure, I have clothes. But, when it comes right down to it and I need to find something to wear to church, out for supper, or for a day out with friends, I can never find anything that I just love wearing or that I’m comfortable in. If you can relate, then this post is for you.
A few weeks ago, I briefly mentioned LulaRoe in my 5 (Recently Discovered) Products that I Love post. This week, I’d like to get a little more in depth about WHY I love this line of clothing so much and why I think you will too.
5 Things I Love about LulaRoe
The first thing I ever heard about LulaRoe was all the hype about the “buttery soft leggings.” Honestly, I didn’t pay much attention or give it any thought. I wasn’t interested in another line of clothing. Then, Ashley bought an outfit at a local vendor show, I tried it on one day while she was at work, and I realized that the hype wasn’t just hype – it was real! These leggings really are buttery soft (and, like I said before, I don’t even like butter). But, once you put them on, you don’t want to take them off. EVER! Like I want to just wear them to bed because they’re even more comfy that my favorite pj’s or sweats. Seriously.
And it’s not only the leggings that are comfortable. Every piece of clothing that I have from LulaRoe is comfortable. And I’m comfortable in it, but more on that later …
Now that I have several pieces of LulaRoe in my wardrobe (currently I have 18 pairs of leggings and 11 tops, with another top and a skirt on the way), I never stand at my closet and say, “I have nothing to wear!” Now, I can grab a LulaRoe outfit (and several of them are even mix & match) and know that it looks good. Not only is this convenient, but it’s a huge time-saver (if you had any idea how much time I spent just staring into my closet and not seeing anything to wear, you’d understand!)
Another thing that’s so convenient about LulaRoe is packing. If you travel much, then you will love LulaRoe because it’s so easy to pack and you can fit a lot of it into a small space (you can see how I roll my leggings in my drawer – I do this same thing with all my LulaRoe when I’m packing it. It doesn’t wrinkle and you can overpack!)
Because LulaRoe only makes a certain number of pieces out of each fabric and that number gets dispersed to consultants all over the place, it makes this clothing unique. I don’t have to worry about going to the mall and running into someone wearing the exact same outfit. I used to buy hand-made purses from a friend and I always loved carrying them because nobody else had one just like mine and it was a great conversation starter. That’s how I feel about LulaRoe.
I realized, while at a recent pop-up (which is what LulaRoe calls their in-home shopping parties), that the clothing is as unique as each individual and I love that. For example, I can look at a rack of clothing and tell exactly what my daughter Ashley would like, or my friend Chelsie, or my friend Tina. We each like different things and have individual taste, yet we can all find something on a rack of LulaRoe. I certainly can’t say that for the clothing in most stores.
I’ve only been wearing LulaRoe for a few months now, but already I’ve gotten to know several of the local girls who sell it and I consider them friends. They have been so helpful in allowing us the opportunity to try new pieces and find outfits that look good together. They learn their customers’ tastes and encourage them in their styles or to try new things. I love this! It is much more personal than walking into a clothing store at the mall and hearing a salesperson say, “May I help you?” because those people don’t really know you (nor do they have the opportunity to get to know you).
In addition to local consultants, I’ve also created relationships with consultants from all over the United States. Some I was friends with online in various other capacities before LulaRoe, and it’s been neat to interact with them in this new and fun way. In fact, this might sound silly, but I feel like I’m getting to know them better based on their clothing tastes as well.
And another great part about this is that, while shopping for LulaRoe, I am able to help small business owners to succeed. Young mothers are able to be home with their children while still bringing in extra income for their families. I remember being at that stage years ago, and it’s nice to have support.
It Gives Me Confidence
I’ve never been a very confident person. Since LulaRoe has become a part of my wardrobe, I feel much more confident. I feel like I am walking taller and looking better. This may go back to the comfort factor, I’m not sure. But, whatever the reason, I love this about LulaRoe. When I wear it, I feel like a whole new person, and that’s pretty special!
I haven’t worn a dress or skirt for years. I don’t feel comfortable in dresses and skirts. Yet, earlier this week, I found myself ordering a skirt and matching shirt to wear to a banquet that we’re going to in a few weeks (I had tried on one of Ashley’s skirts and thought, “I can do this!”) And I’m thisclose to getting a dress (just haven’t found the right one yet).
I look at others and always think they look so nice or they’re thin and have nothing to worry about, yet I’m finding that others struggle with confidence just like I do. If clothing can help with that, then I’m all for it.
Over the next several months, I plan to be sharing more about LulaRoe. I’m going to be sharing new LulaRoe outfits, pictures and unboxing videos, and information about some of my favorite consultants to work with (and why they’re my favorites). I hope that if you haven’t yet tried LulaRoe, that I will inspire you to step out of your comfort zone and give it a try!
If you’re reading this and you’re a LulaRoe consultant and want in on the fun, e-mail me for details!
