Several years ago, Ashley and I attended our first Casting Crowns concert. The opening acts for that night were Josh Bates (we love his music, but he doesn’t seem to be “in the spotlight” anymore) and Nichole Nordeman.
I remember her sitting down at the piano and singing this song . . .
This Week’s Feature
I really loved this song when I first heard it, and I love it today. What a message! It really makes me think. Am I leaving a legacy? Am I making a mark on things? Will I one day hear those words “Well done, Good and Faithful One”?
I want to leave a legacy
How will they remember me?
Did I choose to love? Did I point to You enough
To make a mark on things?
I want to leave an offering
A child of mercy and grace who
Blessed Your Name apologetically
And leave that kind of legacy.
Today there is a Ladies Tea at our church and Ashley will be singing this song. Somehow I think she WILL be leaving a legacy. I’m proud to call her mine.
