My favorite food this week: Croque Monsieur & The Master’s Cupcake
Location: Be Our Guest Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom (LUNCH)
Price: $11.49 for the sandwich and fries, $4.19 for the cupcake (or, together, one QS credit on the DDP)
For the most part, Ashley and I made a serious attempt to try new things on this last trip. But, having dined at Be Our Guest for lunch in December of 2013, we both knew that we enjoyed this sandwich, and nothing else on the menu held quite as much appeal. So, we both ordered it. And, we both liked it – again.
I have heard people complaining that this particular sandwich is too salty. I don’t agree. I think the combination of ham and cheese on the millet bread is perfect. The bread is toasted just right, so it’s crispy on the outside. Even the fries here (called “pommes frites”) are really good.
And The Master’s Cupcake . . . well, if you like chocolate and you like “the grey stuff,” then this is definitely the cupcake for you! In fact, I can’t imagine getting JUST the grey stuff, without the cupcake under it; but that’s just me. (As you can see in the background of the picture, Ashley went with the Strawberry Cream Cheese cupcake – she’s not a huge chocolate fan – and she really enjoyed her choice as well.)
If you can get in without too long of a wait (or you can secure a FastPass, which we did),
I highly recommend checking out Be Our Guest.
However, if the lines are unbearably long, there are plenty of other great QS dining options throughout the Magic Kingdom.
Some of our favorites are Pecos Bill’s and Columbia Harbor House.
How about you?
