As a blogger, I may be compensated in some way (either pay, product, or experience) for sharing the post below All opinions are my own. ~Heidi
Over my years as a blogger, I’ve shared numerous ideas for alternatives to the typical Disney park autograph books. One of my favorites was my post entitled “Sick of the same old autograph books?” – in that post, I shared some of our favorite alternatives, as well as directions for making a fun and interesting personalized autograph book.
Another thing that I’ve done in the past here on my blog is claim my love of Celebrations Magazine. Tim Foster, editor of Celebrations, is the author of one of my favorite Disney guidebook resources for kids – Guide to the Magic. A few months ago, while reading Celebrations, I came across as ad for a new resource by Tim – the Deluxe Autograph & Sticker Book. Right away, I knew that this was going to be the autograph book my kids would use on our “Disney for Christmas” trip. So, I went ahead and ordered two of them.
When the books arrived and I opened the package, I was thrilled! They were exactly what I expected and too good not to share!
About Guide to the Magic’s Deluxe Autograph & Sticker Book by Tim Foster
There are so many awesome features included in this book. Here are some of my favorites.
It’s a full-color, hardback book that is spiral bound. If you’re familiar with the Guide to the Magic book, this book is a miniature version of it.
The character autograph pages are 2-page spreads. As you can see in the pictures above, each spread contains a place on the right for the character’s autograph, while the left-hand page is reserved for a picture (in the case of Belle and various other characters met on our recent trip, we used this section to put the special Limited Time Magic autograph cards that we received), the matching sticker, and recorded memories.
Following the autograph section, there’s a section devoted to World Showcase (this eliminates the need for the overpriced World Showcase passports that are available at Epcot). There’s a page for each country represented – a place for that country’s sticker, an autograph from a Cast Member (we got ours from the KidCot staff), and a passport stamp.
You know all those stickers that your kids collect from Cast Members? There’s a place to keep them (along with recorded memories) in the back of the book.
And, one of my favorite features (and something I’ve not seen in any other autograph product) is the pages devoted to Cast Member autographs (these pages have space for autograph/signature, hometown, and comments. So, when you meet a Cast Member that you just love (such as our server at Tusker House), you can get their autograph in your book. What an awesome way to record those special memories.
There is a complete set of character stickers. Once you receive a character’s autograph, you put the matching sticker on that page.
Also included are checklists (which my 13-year-old really appreciated),and fun facts and tips for collecting autographs. (A checklist example can be seen here.)
I would highly recommend this book!
You can purchase your own copy of this autograph book over at Guide to the Magic’s website. Currently, the book is only sale for $11.95 (plus $7 shipping) but you can also purchase in multiples. There is also an option to order this book in conjunction with Guide to the Magic (something I’d recommend if you don’t already have that book.)
Tim Foster has generously provided a copy of this book for me to give away to one of my readers!
So, be sure to stop back tomorrow and enter to win my special Disney Prize Pack Giveaway! I’ll be giving away a copy of this autograph, along with some other Disney goodies!
