Heidi Says . . .
And now the real Disney Dream food posts start — get ready for some “food porn” over the next few months! I sent Sean (our wonderful FFF host) a note telling him that I had so much food on the Dream that I had my posts scheduled through mid-September – at which point I’ll be making another trip to Walt Disney World (and taking pictures of more food!) so I’m on a Disney food roll! Yay! Anyway . . .
The first night of our cruise, we were scheduled to dine at Animator’s Palate. If you’ve ever looked at a menu from the restaurants on board a Disney Cruise, you’ll see there is no shortage of food! They start you off with a bread service, then you select a appetizer AND a soup/salad (yes, both) – then the entree – then dessert!
I was determined (as usual) to try some different things on the cruise, so I opted for the Black Truffle Pasta Purseittes for my appetizer. They are described as:
Pasta Purse filled with Truffle scented Cheese and coated with a delicate Champagne Sauce
They were delicious. So much so that I ate every bite and was starting to fill up after my appetizer alone! Brian didn’t want to taste them because he’s quite certain he hates mushrooms. He went with the Sliced Serrano Ham – he said it was good, but it certainly didn’t look as good as mine.
I’m curious, if these were your choices, what would YOU select?
- Black Truffle Pasta Purseittes – Pasta Purses filled with Truffle-scented Cheese and coated with a delicate Champagne Sauce
- Sliced Serrano Ham – With Manchego Cheese and Olive Tapanade
- Smoked Salmon Tartar – With Dill, Capers, Onions, Pickles, and a Horseradish Cream
- Tomato Tarte – With Glazed Goats Cheese and Shaved Radish
Sean – from Disney Day by Day – hosts a Favorite Food Friday link-up each week.
If you like Disney food – or any food, for that matter – you are welcome to participate!
