Tuesday, December 17th, 2014 . . . a long, yet exciting day for us — we headed back to the Magic Kingdom with plans to meet up with friends for an early supper before Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!
Since we had never done the MVMCP before, we decided to make special shirts in honor of the party and Christmas at Disney. Here are just a few of our character encounters and fun experiences from the day:
Lucky Ian . . . as if Jedi Training wasn’t enough . . . we were just standing there waiting to watch Captain Jack Sparrow, when Ian was selected to participate in the show! (Gotta say there was some major mom-envy going on!)
We met up with our friends Melissa and Andrew – from Disney on Wheels – for supper at Liberty Tree Tavern. Afterwards, we spent some time hanging out with them in line, waiting to meet the infamous Seven Dwarfs (it had been 15 years since we had seen them all together in one place!)
We thought the Christmas Party was pretty cool! I gotta say, though, that we didn’t have time to see and do it all! We missed most of the shows because my kids are more into meeting characters, and there were some rare ones out and about that night! Needless to say, they have some neat stuff in their autograph books. Here are just a few of the fun memories we made that night:
It was a very late night, but well worth staying out so late and spending the extra money. I’d recommend it! I’m not sure we’ll ever plan another “Disney for Christmas” trip; but, if we do, I’ll be doing the party again – for sure!
