Friends of ours from church will be going to Walt Disney World for Easter later this month. While I try to avoid the parks during major holidays, I’m still a little envious (because, of course, I’d LIVE at Disney if I could). This week’s Riding the Rails topic is Easter at Disney.
Since I’ve never actually been to Disney for Easter, I thought it would be fun to think about what I might do if I WERE to visit Disney during this special holiday. So, here goes . . .
I would start my day by making an early morning reservation at the Crystal Palace. The breakfast is always good there, and surely I can get some ham, which seems like a traditional Easter staple.
I don’t know why, but these Pooh characters remind me of Easter, maybe because bunnies are associated with Easter. Since I can’t meet Rabbit at Crystal Palace, though, I’m going to head over and ride The Many Adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh next and get in line for the Meet & Greet (hoping that maybe Rabbit will come out of hiding).
Since I’m not a huge fan of crowds, I’d probably head back to the resort next and relax a bit, or spend some time in the resort pool. Then, I’d hop on a Disney bus and do some resort-hopping (which is a favorite low-key activity for our family).
Since Easter also happens to be Ian’s birthday this year, we’d do supper that evening at his favorite place – T-Rex Cafe and afterwards we’d let him shop for his birthday gift at the Lego store.
How would YOU spend Easter at Walt Disney World?
