My favorite food this week: Fried Wontons
Yak & Yeti Table Service Restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
$7.99 (or you can select it as your dessert option with your Table Service Credit on the Disney Dining Plan)
Heidi Says . . .
The Fried Wontons were another Yak & Yeti item that came highly recommend from the Disney Foodies. And, no wonder! I mean, just look at this description:
skewers of fresh pineapple and cream cheese wontons, vanilla ice cream, honey-vanilla drizzle
I mean, it’s really rather ridiculous that this dish is simply called Fried Wontons. Look at the picture – in addition to the wontons and pineapple, there are also strawberries on the plate! So it’s fruity and sweet, and then the addition of the cheese just makes this a very interesting dish. I wasn’t 100% sure how to approach eating it, but that’s a non-issue. I guess pulled everything off the skewers, cut up the wontons, and ate it – mixing a bit of wonton with a bite of fruit.
I’ve never had anything like this and, therefore, think it’s a pretty awesome dish.
And, with that, I give Yak & Yeti the Heidi’s Head Award
for Best All Around Dining Experience
on our 21st Birthday Trip!
