I don’t know about you, but I have a very spoiled little dog. And, quite frankly, I don’t feel the least bit guilty about it! I love spending time with him and buying him new toys that I think he will enjoy.

When it comes to treats, though, he’s kind of picky. A few months ago, I posted about a new treat discovery that I made that he actually has been enjoying. He’s still enjoying those treats, so I thought it would be fun to introduce some Halloween treats as well.

Heidi Says . ..
I’m particular about what I feed to Gabe. I don’t want him getting a lot of junk that isn’t good for him. When I first opened this bag of treats, the first thing that I noticed was the smell. They smells like some sort of yummy fall-flavored cookie that people could eat.
And guess what? I think people COULD eat these treats (if they wanted to). I was pleased to see that there is nothing yucky in the ingredients list:
Oatmeal, Barley, Oat Flour, Pumpkin, Flaxseed (source of Omega 3 and 6 Fatty Acids), Cane Molasses, Carrots, Salt, Canola Oil (source of Omega 6 Fatty Acids), Cinnamon, Calcium Carbonate, L-Ascorbyl-2-Polyphosphate (source of Vitamin C), preserved with Mixed Tocopherols and Oil of Rosemary, Vitamin E Supplement
But, what did Gabe think?
He was intrigued by them at first. I think he, too, thought that they smelled delicious.

But, for some reason, he doesn’t want to eat these. I thought it might be because they were too big, so I’ve been breaking them up into smaller pieces for him and, occasionally, he will eat one. But, they aren’t as enticing to him as I had hoped.
So, I’ll probably end up sharing these with another dog friend. Or maybe I’ll bag them up and offer them to any doggies who come trick-or-treating at our house!
