Earlier this week, I was pondering a quote about going down in history and the words of this song popped into my head. I knew then that it must be a sign that this was the song that I’m supposed to share today.
This Week’s Feature
I’ve been a long-time fan of Point of Grace. When Terri left the group, I have to admit that I was a little disappointed. I didn’t think things would be the same, and I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the group. But, not long after, they released this song and I knew they’d be ok!
This song says it all! The chorus, alone, is a sermon:
Turn up the music Turn it up Loud
Take a few chances Let it all out
Because you won’t regret it
Looking back from where you have been
Because it’s not who you knew and it’s not what you did
It’s how you Live
But, some of the lyrics in the verses are so meaningful also – take time to spend with your family, tell them you love them, help the needy, and work on your relationship with God. Because, in the end, all the rest doesn’t matter. These are the things of greatest importance. So, focus on these things!
I admit, I certainly don’t always get it right. I spend too much time working, and forget to focus on my kids. Or I am so caught up in the kids that I forget to ask Brian about his day. I’m a work in progress. But, in the end, I hope people remember me for How I Lived, rather than what I did.
What about you?
