I have a confession to make: I have a hard time with devotional books. I love the idea of a daily devotional; but I tend to get off to a good start, only to get off-track and let myself down. When I received an e-mail asking me to take a look at Jesus Daily, this is what appealed to me:
JESUS DAILY presents scripture for every day of the year as well as short online missions, challenging readers to engage with other believers using a variety of social media tools.
I thought, just maybe, having the challenge of sharing on social media might encourage me to keep going! Now, I’d like to share about this book with YOU . . .

Heidi Says . . .
Jesus Daily contains 365 short devotionals. It runs from January through December, and can be used year after year. Each day starts with a Scripture verse, contains a short devotional, and ends with a connect idea. For example, the verse for January 12th is Galatians 6:2 – “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” The devotional is entitled “Remain Connected” and is about our relationships and how God created us to be in relationship with others. The connect idea is to “Request prayer for an area of struggle from three close Christian friends or members of your faith community.”
The concept is simple, the devotional thoughts are profound, and the time required is minimal. So, really, you (aka I) have no excuse not to follow through (or keep up!)
Here is a full-page sample, taken from December: Dec 1
If you’re looking for a simple devotional that will challenge you, or if you need a gift for that social media guru in your life, this book would fill that need!
