What do you do on days when life just isn’t going your way?
One of the things that I like to do is pop in a worship CD. This helps me focus my mind on what’s important. Often, too, I’ll get a special message by way of a certain song and it can literally turn my day around. Most recently, I’ve been listening to Matthew West’s All In.
The story and heart behind All In
Matthew wrote his new album All In with the goal of encouraging himself and others to get up off the sidelines of their faith and really live it out – to go all in in your time with God, all in with your family, all in with your community, and all in battling your fears that may hold you back from becoming who God made you to be. Along that same theme, Matthew will be launching a 6-week All in Challenge on his social media starting 9/18, and each week Matthew will be challenging his fans to go all in in a different part of their lives. What does it look like when a heart that knows Jesus takes a step and holds nothing back? How can we go All In in the places that mean the most?
Heidi Says …
I am absolutely loving this album. I enjoy all the songs, and the title track is a great reminder that we need to be “all in” with our faith, our relationships, etc.
“Becoming Me” literally brings tears to my eyes. As my children grow older, I am reminded each day how important it is for us (as parents) to be good role models for them to look up to. Sometimes I feel like I fail so much in this area. Thankfully, kids are forgiving and able to bounce back!
“You Are Known” has a great message too. It’s one I often need to hear. It doesn’t matter if ANYONE here on this earth even knows that I exist. God knows and God cares and I am important to Him. really, that’s all that matters, right?
Probably the song that speaks the most to me at this moment in time is “Broken Things.” Some days I feel so broken and it’s nice to be reminded that God uses the broken people to do His work.
If you’re looking for a new CD to add to your worship collection, be sure to check out All In.
