Who is Phil Wickham?
Phil Wickham is a popular recording artist and worship leader who recently lost the very thing he’s most known for: his vocal ability. Recently, he had a risky surgery to repair his vocal cords. Afterward, he was left wondering if he might not sing again and what that might mean for his identity. However, the result of his surgery is a renewed sense of his spiritual identity in Christ, and lots of great worship songs on his new album, Children Of God.
About Children of God
Phil has taken his experience and shared it with the world in song! So many of the songs on this album are the direct result of his voice situation – like the lead single from the album, “Your Love Awakens Me.”
Another song on the album, “Starmaker (High Above the Earth),” talks about God’s greatness, and is a great praise and worship song.
Other songs on the album include:
- The Secret Place
- Wide Awake
- My All In All
- Children of God
- Stand in Awe
- Body Mind & Soul
- As It Is In Heaven
- Spirit of God
The album opens with Phil’s rendition of the Doxology, which I love!
If you love Christian contemporary music, you’re sure to enjoy this new album!
