Each summer, the kids and I like to plan some special day trips. We count them as “field trips” and they go toward our count of school days for the upcoming year. Field trips tend to be more educational than textbooks! After all, what could be better than hands-on experience?! Some places – like the Hershey Chocolate Factory – we like to visit year after year. But, there are other places that we don’t get to nearly often enough for our tastes!
One of those places is the Crayola Factory in Easton, PA. We haven’t been there since Ian was a baby. In fact, I had trouble finding the pictures; and, when I did, he was barely on any of them!
Recently, I’ve heard of a lot of changes and updates that have come to the Crayola Factory. First of all, it’s now called the Crayola Experience.
It’s still located in the same place, but there are lots of interesting new things to see and do there:
Doesn’t it sound like a blast?! We definitely have to make plans to visit sometime this summer! While I know the kids would love it, I have to confess that I would too! I’ve always been pretty passionate about crayons. In fact, I have my very own box of Crayola 64 that I keep at my desk.
I am most excited to try the Wrap It Up! and Marker Mania activities. What about you? If you were to visit, what would you like to try?
Do you have any special field trip destinations on your bucket list? I’d love to hear about them!
Stay tuned here to see pictures and trip reports from our summer experiences!
