Heidi Says . . .
Earlier this year I shared some ways to save money while dining at Disney. One of those ways was to join the Landry’s Select Club. I did that before our trip and I’m so glad that I did. When we walked up to the check-in counter at T-Rex Cafe, the wait time was about an hour and a half. We were told our wait would be 20 minutes, and I don’t even think we waited that long. I almost felt guilty (but, not really!)
I had looked at the menu ahead of time and the Prehistoric Pasta really stood out at me. It’s described as:
Sautéed zucchini, yellow squash, sun-dried and Roma tomatoes, linguini, arugula, mozzarella cheese, basil oil.
You can add chicken or shrimp, but I chose to go meatless. Isn’t it a beautiful dish? And it was quite tasty as well. I loved all the bright colors and the pasta and veggies were cooked perfectly. I couldn’t eat it all (but part of that was because I was saving room for a dessert that my friend and I planned to share – stop back next week to see the dessert!)
We had a great waiter and the manager stopped by our table to check on us a few times as well. Being a member of the Landry’s Select Club definitely has its perks!
My friend chose the Lasagna and, while I didn’t get a picture of it, you can take my word for it that it looked delicious (nice and saucy, which is just the way I like it) – and she said it was delicious as well!
Do you enjoy T-Rex? What’s your favorite item on the menu?
