This past fall, I discovered the Facebook page for The Purple Pug. At the time, they were promoting their Sparkling Santa Sacks and I was impressed. These would work great for our family for a few reasons:
#1 – We have never had a decent place to hang Christmas stockings; so, for the past few years, we haven’t even gotten our stockings out of the Christmas storage boxes.
#2 – Christmas stockings are too small. I like to put practical things in stockings, such as shampoo, body wash, toothpaste and toothbrushes, shaving cream, etc. – things that are larger and take up more room than a normal stocking can hold, but are practical and useful throughout the year.
#3 – We are basically Christmas minimalists – meaning we buy very little for our kids at Christmastime. I want them to remember the real meaning of Christmas, rather than focusing on the STUFF.
That being said, I thought the Santa Sacks would be the perfect thing to hold ALL of each child’s Christmas gifts. I pm’d back and forth with The Purple Pug; and got the answers that I wanted in a timely manner, so I decided to order them. There were various images and colors to choose from, but they were all sparkly and fun. I chose what I thought suited each child’s personality and placed my order. They came fairly quickly and were packaged in the most awesome way! I was so excited to use them at Christmastime. As you can see, they met my expectations:
When the new year rolled around, she started posting pictures of Love Sacks™. These sacks are much smaller than the Santa Sacks and I thought they would make the perfect bags for Valentine treats. I normally buy something small for each of the kids, such as a t-shirt or a DVD, and some candy (of course). So, I couldn’t resist. I ordered the heart pattern for my girls and the little monster (boy) pattern for Ian.
Ths time, because the sacks were smaller, they came packaged in an awesome purple envelope (purple is my favorite color, so this excited me!) Inside, the packaging didn’t disappoint either! I just love the extra detailed touch that goes into each order.
Aren’t they just the cutest? I can’t wait to give them to my kids with Valentine’s goodies inside.
It should be noted that The Purple Pug online store is closed through February 16th. But, I’m hoping that, once they are open for business again, there will be Easter sacks to select and order! I can’t wait! I think I’m addicted.
