As a blogger, I may be compensated in some way (either pay, product, or experience) for sharing the post below All opinions are my own. ~Heidi
I need to preface this post by saying that I am a die-hard flip-flop girl! In fact, the truth is that I’d rather be shoeless. But, if I have to go out, I slip on flip-flops. I don’t like anything that’s too restricting on my feet. (And hence the reason why I really need to move South!)
A few years ago, I received a shoe to review from Therafit. I was intrigued by them because their advertising said they were great for people suffering from plantar fasciitis. I don’t suffer from this myself but have several friends who do, so I wanted to find a shoe that would work for them. However, the shoe I got to review at that time, while adorable, was not wide enough for my fat feet and I wasn’t able to wear them enough to really get a feel for if I would like them or not. I ended up gifting them to a friend.
So, when I was approached to try some summer shoes, I was skeptical. But, they assured me that they had some that would be fine for wider width feet. And they had some flip-flops that I thought were adorable!
For the record, my grandmothers were Hazel and Julia, so I really thought I was meant to try these shoes! However, they weren’t part of the summer review promotion, so I chose the Sydney sandals pictured at the top of this post. I selected a blue color, but the pink ones are what arrived in my mailbox. I’m NOT a pink person! But, for the sake of the review, I made the most of it. And I have to say, I’m glad I did!
Therafit’s patented technology was developed to deliver comfortable women’s footwear with personalized comfort and support. Therafit Shoe worked very closely with Cornell University Professor Dr. Richard Lennihan, an avid runner and pioneering vascular surgeon, to create the unique patented technology used in every one of their products. Therafit’s goal is to improve how you feel throughout the day. By using multiple layers of cushioning and support with varying densities inside each and every shoe, the shock of each step is distributed downward and outward. The result is extremely comfortable shoes that cushion your foot on impact, helping to reduce the aches and pains that come from the stress of everyday activities. Durable materials provide a shoe product that can go the distance for both work and play.
Therafit’s patented PCS technology allows you to “personalize” the comfort level upon foot impact. By inserting or removing the rod inserts in the heel of the shoe, the impact resistance, the strike force, and the cushioning level is modified, as well as the heel angle and foot positioning relative to the ground. The ultimate result is that this gives you a varying and easily modifiable level of comfort and foot support depending on your own personal needs. Different foot types, as well as different arches, can all benefit from this PCS “personal comfort system”.
Heidi Says . . .
Like I said above, I’m not normally a pink person. But, as luck would have it, I was in the middle of taking a course on style when the shoes arrived. So, I was quickly able to put together an outfit that included some pink and would look amazing with my new shoes!
The shoes looked adorable with my outfit and I was feeling VERY put together. I wore them to run errands in Harrisburg that day and I actually got some compliments on my shoes! (That never happens!)
I couldn’t help but feeling that the arches on the shoes just felt off, though. It felt like they were in the wrong place and weren’t supporting my natural arches. I thought I’d have to give up on these shoes. And then I remembered Therafit’s patented PCS technology (described in the video above)!
I popped out the first rod and the difference was amazing! Now the shoes felt comfortable again!
I’m now a firm believer in the benefit of shoes from Therafit! I will definitely be trying more of their shoes in the future (maybe a flip-flop style next time!)
If you’d like to try them, you’ll be thrilled to know that they are running a HUGE sale on their summer sandals right now, so it’s the perfect time to buy!
Have you tried Therafit shoes? I’d love to hear your thoughts. What is your favorite style?
