Whether you are looking for a fun-filled or relaxing vacation, literally hundreds of gorgeous spots exist around the globe that are perfect for families, singles, newlyweds, and everyone in between. However, in the interest of saving money, many individuals now wish to stay stateside, eliminating the expense of trans-oceanic flights and the hassle of having a current passport. Thankfully, there is an array of delightful spots throughout the U.S. that are perfect no matter what time of year it is.
In the spring of the year, most people are tired of the gray, slushy days of winter and want the thrill of enjoying the sunshine. A great place for that is Orlando, which has an array of family-friendly resorts. Not only is the famous Walt Disney World resort located there, but Orlando also boasts Gatorland, SeaWorld and Universal Studios, which provide more than enough excitement for all ages. Going in the spring can eliminate some of the long lines typically found at these resorts when school is out. Another great option for spring is Washington DC, which is ablaze with the famed cherry blossoms.
Summer is the best time of year to enjoy the Upper Midwest, which generally has cooler temperatures throughout the rest of the year. A fun place for families is Wisconsin Dells, known for its many indoor and outdoor waterparks and amusement parks. However, there is more to the Dells than that; there is also golfing, shopping, nightlife and more. Those who love exploring the outdoors can head to Yellowstone. This is a very affordable vacation spot because campsites and cabins at this national park are reasonably priced.
Autumn is a great time to celebrate the cool temperatures as well as the gorgeous fall colors found up north. While the Midwest has gorgeous colors, New England is especially fun to visit this time of year with its colonial and small town charm. Acadia National Park in Maine offers biking, hiking, and more, in colorful surroundings. There is also the chance to climb Cadillac Mountain. Those who prefer a faster-paced city feel, can head to New York City where Central Park offers up colorful trees and carriage rides. In addition, New York City has a variety of fascinating neighborhoods, such as Tribeca and SoHo, each of which have unique personalities.
Of course, winter is the time for vacationers to head to the southern United States unless individuals are looking for winter sports and mountain retreats, such as that offered at Lake Tahoe. The southernmost tip of the continental United States offers the warmest temperatures during the winter. Key West offers many of the same options that typical Caribbean destinations offer, including scuba diving, deep-sea fishing and snorkeling. Miami has similarly warm temperatures as well as a metropolitan atmosphere with incredible nightlife.
No matter what type of vacation one is looking for or what time of year it is, the United States has a fabulous destination that is sure to create superb memories. Purchasing a vacation package, such as one found when choosing a getaway with Bluegreen Resorts, can be a great way to save money year-round with a package deal. However one chooses to plan and book a vacation, a relaxing getaway is sure to forge lifelong memories.
