As a blogger, I may be compensated in some way (either pay, product, or experience) for sharing the post below All opinions are my own. ~Heidi
I have a confession to make (and I hope it doesn’t cause some of my readers to hate me): I am not a huge fan of those k-cup coffee brewers that everyone else seems to love (I’m letting the name out of this post, but surely, if you know anything about the world of coffee, you know exactly what I’m talking about). My issue with them is that they don’t provide me with a nice large cup of coffee. 6, 8, and 10 oz. cup sizes . . . that just doesn’t cut it for me. I like a large mug of coffee in the mornings. I know there’s a new(er) model available that brews a pot of coffee; but I take issue with the fact that it will only use that particular brand of k-cup.
In any case, I was on the lookout for a coffee brewer alternative. Sure, I can use a drip machine (and I do); but sometimes it’s just more convenient to make one cup at a time. Especially now that Ashley is working and we’re up and about at different times in the morning.
I discovered the TOUCH Brewing System on Twitter (or maybe they discovered me). In any case, I checked out their website and was intrigued. Let me tell you why . . .
About TOUCH Brewers
The TOUCH brewers came about because the company saw a need for a single-serve brewing system that provided not just convenience but also “an at-home coffeehouse experience that is truly fulfilling. The result is Touch family of brewers, K-cup compatible Touch Cups and Touch Carafes – for coffees, teas, hot chocolate and other beverages that are bolder, richer, and steamier, from the groups up to brew “The Perfect Cup. Every Time.”
Here are just a few of the features you will find on this family of brewers:
- Open Platform for various portion packs, including all k-cup packs
- Bigger – at least 5 cup sizes and a 90 oz. water tank
- Choice of mild, medium, and bold – to create your perfect taste
- Bolder – optimum brewing temperature for bolder tasting coffee
- Rapid Brewing Technology – start brewing in under 20 seconds from cold start

Heidi Says . . .
It was pretty much love at first sight with me and this TOUCH machine. I loved it before I even got it out of the box. The features are everything I was looking for in a coffee system! But, the real test is always actual use. And rather than typing it all out, I thought it might be fun to actually show you how the machine works. (Please excuse my use of “ummm . . . ” – a videographer I am not!)
Ashley takes a 24 oz. travel mug to work with her each day, so she’s been brewing a full carafe and dumping it over. This is so much more convenient than having to make several cups of coffee in our previous brewing system and combining them all.
I love the large water tank and the fact that it’s easy to refill without removing it from the machine. (I also love that my hubby – who doesn’t even drink coffee – always keeps it filled for us!)
We’ve found that the coffee comes out of this machine much warmer than it did from our previous system. I like that too – it keeps me from feeling like I have to suck it down so fast (before it gets cold!)
I’m impressed that it will work with any variety of k-cups available on the market and I appreciate the Refill Jumbo Cup so that I can use my own coffee beans and grind them up as needed.
So far, I haven’t discovered anything to complain about with this system and I’ll definitely be recommending it to all my coffee-loving friends. In fact, I sense a brunch party coming on, just so we can share it!
The T526S brewing system that I featured above retails for $249.99 and comes with the Jumbo Refill Cup and the Carafe. Other models are available for $189.99 and $229.99.
