Have you been following my series of posts on the #DisneySMMoms On- the Road event in #Philly? If not, check out my previous posts here:
This week is the last post in this series, and I’m talking about Cache.
What exactly does that mean?
Cache is defined as a hidden store for treasures.
Synonyms are: hoard, stockpile, reserve.
If you were at the #Philly event, please introduce yourself in the comments and leave a link to your blog! I’d love to stay in touch!
We definitely left there with a bag full of goodies, so I think the word works. Don’t you? I just wanted to share some of the great stuff we brought home and say THANK YOU to the sponsors of the event:
- Mega Puzzles
- Huggies MomInspired
- Monk Fruit in the Raw
- Go Go Squeez
Some of the little goodies in our tote bags included a sample of Monk Fruit in the Raw, a full size can of Coppertone sunblock, and a box of Go Go Squeez. We also received information from Huggies MomInspired and a pen (always a welcome addition at our house!)
We were also pleased to find these prints:
I wish I had thought to grab some frames for them while we were shopping at IKEA after the event. These would look so cute hanging beside my desk. Don’t you just love the references to Facebook and Twitter? (Disney actually has both designs available on t-shirts – check the gift shops at the parks and World of Disney.)
I have a puzzle enthusiast at my house, so I was excited to see that Ashley and I received 2 different puzzles in our bags. Because Gracie is more into the larger 1,000+ piece puzzles, the good news is that the rest of the family can get their hands on these two puzzles. I’m thinking they would look cute framed and hanging on the wall as well!
One of the icebreakers at the event was to do some pin-trading. Each table was given a pile of pins to disperse; then we were encouraged to get up and socialize and trade our pins. I was pretty pleased with the 50th Anniversary Small World pin that I ended up with. Sorry for the blurry picture; but, you can at least see that it has taken up residence beside another Small World pin on my pin board. (Yes, I’ve gotten on the pin-trading bandwagon – I tried to resist but my kids were having so much fun with it that I just had to join in!)
After a bathroom break, we all came back to find a Vinylmation figurine waiting for us. These are the ones that Ashley and I received (mine is on the left). It makes a nice addition to my little Vinylmation collection, which sits on the top of my desk. (Yes, my desk is rather Disneyfied.)
Before the event, we were each supposed to send in a picture of us (or our family or our pets, etc.) showing our #DisneySide. I chose a picture of my family from our visit to Walt Disney World in December. It’s one of my favorites because I just love Russell from UP and, as disappointed as I was in the shirts that I made for us on that day, all the Cast Members just ranted and raved about them (and they did turn out great on pictures). I was THRILLED to win a special surprise from HP – the picture on a canvas! This is going to look FABULOUS on our Disney-themed wall in our living room!
Each of us put our business cards in a bucket for door prizes. Toward the end of the event, y card was pulled as the winner of a Disney Social Media Moms blanket. It was a bright blue, very soft blanket, in a neat storage bag. But, earlier in the morning, Fadra from All Things Fadra had won a Small World doll. I had mentioned how much I loved it and how great it would look in Gracie’s room – being that it was an Asian doll and all. She offered to trade me for the blanket (she has a little boy) – and I gladly accepted the trade! Isn’t she adorable? (And she sings “It’s a Small World” in both English and Chinese too!)
As you can see from reading my posts over the past 4 weeks . . . we gained a lot! Not just the cache, but the confidence (to move forward with our blogs, etc.), the cuisine (Disney food has quite a reputation), and the companionship (the opportunity to meet old friends and make some new ones).
Thank you Maria Bailey and #DisneySMMoms for allowing me (and Ashley) the awesome opportunity to attend this event. I hope to see you next year!

I was not compensated in any way. The event was free and I paid for my own travel expenses.
