As a blogger, I may be compensated in some way (either pay, product, or experience) for sharing the post below All opinions are my own. ~Heidi
I’m the face behind Heidi’s Head. I’ve been blogging (under various blog names) since around 2005. My reasons for blogging have evolved over the years, which is how this most recent blog name (and theme) came about. I wanted to share all the thoughts rolling around in my head (rather than focusing on just one thing) – I shared my thoughts with my friend Christi (The Graphics Lady) and she made my dreams a reality!
Homeschoolers may know me from my former work for a well-known homeschooling magazine, or for starting a popular review team. Nowadays, I’m the Co-Owner & Senior Editor of Home & School Mosaics (a website focusing on both HOME and SCHOOL). I’m also traveling the convention circuit, representing Apologia curriculum this spring – you can find me here.
I have a love of all-things Disney, which is why you’ll see so many Disney-related posts on my blog. Most recently, I’ve been able to channel this passion a bit more by taking over as Co-Captain & Guest Blogging Coordinator for the Magical Blogorail.
When I’m not blogging, I’m just a “typical homeschool mom,” running a taxi service for my kids to get to music lessons, sports, and wherever else they need to go!
When I do find myself with some free time, I love hanging out with friends, traveling, curling up with a good book (many of which end up being reviewed here on my blog), and soaking in a bubble bath. None of these things happen nearly often enough!
I live in central PA with my family – my husband (of 22 years), Brian, and our 3 children – Ashley (20), Gracie (13), and Ian (7). I dream of living in a warmer climate (like right next door to Walt Disney World), but I am having trouble getting my husband on board for a move.
We live in what I like to refer to as “uncommercialized Amish country” – in other words, we see Amish buggies clopping by our front door every day. (It’s really not all that sensational!) Our small town is barely a blip on the map. It’s pretty boring here, but most days that’s a good thing!
If I were hosting you at a REAL party, I’d be serving you your choice of hot beverages in my new Keurig, along with an assortment of dips, chips, and desserts. My current favorite dip is the Bacon Double Cheeseburger Dip from Closet Cooking. (If you haven’t tried it yet – you must! You might want to double the recipe though!)
Thanks so much for stopping by! I look forward to getting to know each one of you better during #UBP14! Leave a comment. Ask a question!
