Last week, while vacationing in OCNJ, I got an e-mail from the author of this book, asking if I’d like to review it on my blog. First of all, DUH! I mean, it’s a Disney-related book – who turns that down?! Not this girl! And secondly, the invitation was just so timely. I can’t really say why, but you might find out in 177 days. 😉
So, what about this book?
Are you heading to Disney and can’t decide which Walt Disney World Dining Plan you should choose?
Are you considering Disney’s Quick Service Dining Plan?
Do you wonder if you’ll be able to have variety in your meals eating “amusement park food” for an entire week?
I was worried too! In fact, I was downright paranoid. After I did my research and chose the Quick Service plan, a crazy little idea came to me. I decided I would take pictures of everything our family of five ate on a 7 day/6 night Disney World Vacation. That way, I could provide others with the (visual) information I wished I could find!
And that’s what this e-book is! It’s a pictorial food diary for our trip. You can see for yourself what one totally normal (ish) family ate on their Disney vacation.
I also include our thoughts on the food, how we sort-of-randomly-sort-of-not-randomly chose where we would eat each day, and tips for your trip to Disney.
Heidi Says . . .
Oh my gosh – I loved this little e-book! I have to say that I almost always turn down requests to review e-books. I love the idea of them, and I love my Kindle – but there’s still something really special about a physical book. There was something in me, though, that really wanted to check out this particular e-book, and I’m so glad I followed that feeling!
I was really curious to find out about this family’s experience with the Quick Service Dining Plan. There have been times when I’ve considered it as an option for my family, but they normally protest.
I just really enjoyed how the author laid this book out . . .
- Each meal began on a new page – with a heading that listed the day’s number and the meal (for example: First Day’s Breakfast).
- Then there was a collage picture of everyone’s meal choices.
- Following that was a break-down of what each person ordered.
But the very best part was the author’s writing style. She was just very personable and fun. I read it, feeling like I was reading the travel journal of my best friend. I found myself literally laughing out loud at some of her descriptions and thoughts!
If you are interested in seeing if the Quick Service Dining Plan might work well for your family, this is definitely a great place to start – it’s a fun introduction to the plan, including pictures (Disney food pictures are always fun, right?)
